Frequently Asked Questions

How often are your skin care products made?

Our Vintage Life Farm skin care products are made-to-order. This means that we do not make your product until your order it in order to receive the freshest product possible. Our skin care items do not contain preservatives, binders or fillers – so shelf life is not like that of commercial brands with loads of chemicals and preservatives in them. When we make-to-order, it allows you to use your product in an adequate amount of time as your product remains fresh.

Are your products FDA approved?

Great question, and no, they are not FDA approved. We stand 100% by our products, but we do not seek approval from government regulations on them. Herbal and natural remedies are not monitored by the FDA, so our products in that category are also not “FDA approved”.

Can I return my products if they don’t work?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of our products, we cannot take returns for refunds. We definitely want you to be happy with your purchase, and will soon sell sample sizes of some of our products so you can try them out first, but until then, once you purchase a product, it is unable to be returned. We know this may be inconvenient, but as a small business, we are unable to offer these types of returns.

Why don’t you offer free shipping on all your boxes?

We get you. In the “free prime shipping” culture, we tend to wince when we see a shipping charge, and we understand that. There are few factors that helped us decide that free shipping was not for us at this time. Offering free shipping ultimately means the prices of our products are raised. If you are a returning customer, you would end up paying a large amount over what you should be paying over time. We, also, are very aware that the shipping costs are being raised unexpectedly all the time – and this would result in the prices of our products constantly changing. In business, that doesn’t look good or solid – so we want to keep the integrity of our products at a high standard, and allow the shipping to fluctuate if need be.

What herbs do you use?

We seek to find the best herbs, roots and florals that are available. Many times we use a local apothecary for our herbal needs, and if we can’t find what we need there, we will purchase brands that are one or more of the following: organic, kosher, non-irradiated and wild-harvested. We always make sure our herbal products are made with the freshest dried herbs we can find.

Where do you get the products you sell?

Our products are made right here on the farm, by yours truly! You will be receiving products made by me personally – another one of my passions. These are not mass-produced items shipped in from another country, they are made right here in the USA, at 9200ft above sea level in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. All of our items are made in small-batches right before boxes will be sent to ensure quality and freshness.
