Shop Policy and Terms

REFUNDS, RETURNS, EXCHANGES, REPLACEMENTS

Vintage Life Farm sells unique products from skin care items to herbal products to sourdough starter. All of these are perishable and due to this, we do not offer refunds, returns, exchanges or replacements.

Due to the perishable nature, once these products are opened, they cannot be reused or resold by our company. We ask that if you are unsure of a product, that you request to purchase a sample to make sure it will be a right fit for you. You can also ask questions before purchasing to make sure you are ordering the right product. We are more than happy to work with you on figuring out if our products will work for you.

There are few exceptions to this policy and they are listed below.

SHIPPING AND SHOP POLICIES

Vintage Life Farm uses the United States Postal Service to ship our products. We have the cart automatically calculate the USPS’s price to ship the weight of the package to your zip code. We do not collect any extra money on shipping and you can be assured that what you pay for shipping is what we will pay for shipping. We no longer offer flat rate shipping due to the constant price increases through USPS.

We ship priority mail that offers delivery confirmation so we have on record the date, time and place of the package being delivered. Technically, once we hand over the package to the USPS (we hand deliver these to the front counter of our post office) and they scan the package, it is out of the hands of Vintage Life Farm and we no longer have ownership of the package. Once the package is delivered by USPS to the customer’s shipping address, it is out of the hands of the USPS and they no longer have ownership of the package. That being said, if a package is delivered and something happens to it after it has been delivered, it is no longer the issue of the postal service, or Vintage Life Farm. We do not take responsibility for anything that happens to a package after it is delivered and we have receipt of that delivery (which is almost immediate, as we get notified when the package is scanned at the delivery location).

With the ever increasing problem of theft from mailboxes and front porches, we have decided to stop replacing products, as it has become a major loss for our small business. Even though it is never the fault of the business when a package is lost after delivery, we would try to offer that replacement service to our customers, but can no longer offer this due to the loss of profit we have incurred. We apologize for this inconvenience and loss for our customers and encourage those ordering to make sure it will be delivered to a secure location. If you are not home during the day when deliveries are made, you can ship the package to your local post office and they will hold it in a lockbox for you, or have it shipped to a trusted family member, friend or your place of employment.

The USPS will not compensate my business for a package that is shown to be delivered, so insurance will not cover packages lost after delivery. If a package is never delivered and the USPS shows it was lost in transit, then Vintage Life Farm will replace the products for a fee of 50% of total price, with customers paying shipping/handling fees. Outside of that, please be aware that lost packages will not be replaced, but we will offer a coupon code for a discount if you’d like to place another order.

TEMPERATURES

Many of our skin care product’s state can be altered by extreme temperatures. If your package has been in the heat too long, you may need to place your product in the fridge to solidify it. If it has been in the cold too long, allow it to come to room temp again before using it.
