  • What You Need:
  • 10-20 vanilla pods Madagascar, organic
  • 32 ounce glass jar
  • 32 ounce brandy rum, vodka

Instructions:

  • Slice the vanilla pods down the center, lengthwise, and scrape out the beans.
  • Place both the beans and the empty pods into your jar.
  • Fill the jar with brandy, ensuring the vanilla is fully submerged.
  • Seal the jar with a tight-fitting lid and store it in a cool, dark place for 6 weeks, allowing the flavors to infuse.
  • Once ready, you can either leave the pods in the jar for a stronger flavor or strain the extract into a new container.

Note: Unlike vodka-based extracts, brandy enhances the vanilla's depth with a rich, smooth finish, making this homemade extract a truly unique addition to your recipes!
