Sweet Cream Boba Tea
A creamy, lightly sweet tea layered with chewy boba pearls—fun to sip and simple to make at home.
Ingredients
Method
- Brew the tea
- Heat 2 cups of water until just below boiling. Pour over the black tea and steep. Set aside.
- Make the brown sugar syrup
- In a small saucepan, combine ½ cup water and ½ cup brown sugar. Heat until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is gently simmering.
- Cook the boba pearls
- Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add the boba pearls and cook until they float to the surface.
- Remove and place them directly into the brown sugar syrup. Let them sit to absorb the flavor.
- Prepare the salted cream
- In a small bowl, mix ¼ cup heavy cream with ½ teaspoon salt. Set aside.
- Assemble the drink
- Add ice to two glasses – about half way
- Add ½–¾ cup milk to a glass
- Spoon in some of the boba and brown sugar syrup (adjust to taste)
- Pour in ¼–½ cup brewed black tea
- Top with the salted cream
- Mix and enjoy
- Stir gently before drinking.
